Weatherford Repair & Maintenance Process Standardization Leader in Pearland, Texas

Job Purpose

The role of the R&M Process Standardization Leader is to drive support and deployment alignment of the global R&M governance & standards across the respective sites within the geozone regarding Lean, 5s, process & procedural adherence, digital systems, project management and training and development in partnership of the respective site R&M leads. Project planning and execution are key, and the position requires a close working relationship with cross functional teams across global R&M, Product Line, Finance, Quality, Training and Operations to ensure success. When required, the R&M Process Standardization Leader will assist with overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of strategic projects within the geozone. The R&M Process Standardization Leader may also participate and collaborate in proposal, development, implementation of special projects with the global R&M team.

Roles & Responsibilities

QUALITY

OPERATIONS

  • Prepare the project’s objectives and schedules for all phases of support and implementation strategy

  • Utilize Lean concepts to drive continuous improvement within R&M operations

  • Ability to lead projects which involve employees from multiple departments and contractors

  • Develop and implement the workflows and operational frame for Project Management. This includes (but not limited to):

  • Methodologies applicable to single large or multiple product line integrated projects

  • Process for definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Systematic economical and operational risk management to minimize project risks

  • Management of change techniques to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Methodologies for resource (internal and third parties/vendors) availability and allocation

  • Process for capturing lessons learned and their effective adoption in a proactive continues improvement cycle

COMMUNICATION

  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

  • Communicates global strategies and performance to multiple stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team

FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

  • Audits projects to ensure master plans and schedules are followed and directs others for successful project completion of being on time and within budget

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent years of experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of oilfield and/or Manufacturing/workshop experience

  • Experience in Project Management, planning & execution in a large geographical environment

PREFERRED

  • Lean and 5s trained or experienced

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

  • International awareness and approach

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles

  • Capable of building business cases to support investment decisions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations

PREFERRED

  • Experience across multiple PL’s in the oilfield services sector

  • Experience in managing repair & maintenance workshops

  • Experience in leading multiple locations over a geographical area

  • Strong process and procedural discipline

  • Strong comprehension of workshop layouts and flow to Lean principles in oilfield services environment

  • Ability to influence collaboration and promote constructive feedback

Travel Requirement:

This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 25-50%
