Memorial Healthcare System RN Specialist - Quality Management - Administration Oncology-West, FT-Days, MHW: Administration Oncology-West in Pembroke Pines, Florida
This position is located in Hollywood, FL and will support the Memorial Cancer Institute by ensuring compliance with all Oncology Accreditation Standards, coordinating Cancer Committee meetings, compiling pertinent information for development of patient care criteria, collecting data for protocol studies and conducting audits as well as complying with all reporting requests & requirements - (including NCBD, quarterly reports to the state Cancer Registry & the American College of Surgeons). Also acts as liaison with Radiology, Medical, Nursing and Ancillary Staff throughout MHS.
Ensures that patient care services are delivered in a manner that balances quality of care with efficiency, cost-containment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reviews admissions and service requests within assigned unit for prospective, concurrent and retrospective medical necessity and/or compliance with reimbursement policy criteria.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Develops, implements and facilitates quality evaluation and improvement initiatives.
