Description
We are in search of a diligent Accounting Assistant to be a part of our team based in Pennsauken, New Jersey. As an Accounting Assistant, your primary duties will be centered around the processing of orders and invoices, coupled with the management of Accounts Receivable. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you'll be leveraging your skills in order entry and Microsoft Excel to ensure smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the accurate and timely processing of orders
• Manage invoice entry and tracking to ensure all financial records are up to date
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate recording of transactions
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data management and reporting
• Respond to and resolve any customer inquiries related to financial transactions
• Continually monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions as needed
• Maintain and update customer credit records on a regular basis
• Ensure all customer applications are processed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
• Applicant must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in entering invoices is required.
• Experience with order entry is a crucial aspect of this role.
• Must demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are expected.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines is essential.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations is required.
• Experience with accounting software, besides Microsoft Excel, is a plus.
