THE POSITION
Do you excel in organizational and attention to detail skills? The Department of General Services, Bureau of Vehicle Management/Customer Service Division, is eager to welcome a motivated Administrative Assistant 1 to our team. You will serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) and other state agencies, Commissions, and Legislative bodies in support of the Commonwealth’s Automotive Fleet. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will provide support to drivers of fleet vehicles in state agencies, Commissions, and Legislative bodies and their designated points of contact. Your responsibilities will include making determinations regarding vehicle maintenance and repair, analyzing automotive repair estimates, and determining the best cost savings measures when approving or denying repair or maintenance. You will have the opportunity to maintain and coordinate vehicle operations to ensure that all warranty requirements are being followed in order for the commonwealth to take advantage of factory warranty work and Roadside Assistance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, to be discussed during interview. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
