DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Custodial Worker 1 completes routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. Inside work will include cleaning resident rooms, offices, and medical areas. You will perform daily cleaning and deep cleaning using custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment that may involve heavy moving and lifting. Outside work will include removal of snow, trash, and debris from sidewalks and entryways. All work will adhere to our well-established standards, utilize PPE and chemical controls, and maintain a safe work environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch and every Sunday and Monday off.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital is preferred. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, buffing, etc.)
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
