THE POSITION
Do you possess an abundance of technical tax knowledge and have experience which would enable you to research and examine a variety of legal tax documents? If so, The Department of Revenue is seeking a Tax Account Collections Technician to join the team and assist in reviewing applicants to ensure all requirements are met, including registration and compliance with all requisite tax systems for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) . DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Tax Account Collections Technician, you will r eview all Sales & Use, Employer Withholding, Corporation, Inheritance, and Personal Income Tax accounts using BRIDGES and PaTH (Pennsylvania Tax Hub) system to ensure that any outstanding liabilities and non-filed returns are resolved prior to issuing a tax clearance for the PGCB. You will be responsible for determining if liabilities are collectable and processing tax payments received from taxpayers or their representatives to the proper taxing systems. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a dedication towards treating others equitably.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, however you must report to the office 1 day per week. In-office training may be required for this position. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience reviewing tax documents and applying tax laws and rules and regulations and making taxpayer liability decisions; or
Three years of experience in the collection of taxes; or
Three year of experience in the provision of taxpayer assistance which involves the explanation of the application of tax laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures; or
Any combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the required knowledges, skills and abilities.
Additional Requirements:
You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
