U.S. Marine Corps FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST in Pentagon, Virginia
Summary You will serve as a Fire Protection Specialist in the Marine Corps Installation Command (MCICOM) of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. Responsibilities You will lead the Fire and Emergency Services (F+ES) Branch, Operations Division (G-3), Operations and Plans Directorate (G-3/5), Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), Pentagon, Washington, DC. You will provide operational oversight as well as technical expertise and assistance to Marine Corps Regional and Installation Fire Chiefs and may be assigned direct emergency response operational duties. You will serve as the primary liaison and/or point of contact (POC) to Regional and Installation Fire Chiefs. You will be responsible for the Fire Officer and Chief Fire Officer Development Programs and serves as the coordinator for mobile fire training teams. You will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of the fire protection and fire prevention programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: preparing criteria and guidelines to assist fire chiefs to develop standards of cover, pre-incident plans, integrated incident command operations, and investigation of fires in buildings and structures; and develops and recommends structural fire and emergency services criteria and implementing direction for fire department administration, fire suppression, and emergency medical service delivery. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
