Bongards' Creameries Technical Support Specialist in Perham, Minnesota

Description Job Summary: Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to be located at our Perham, MN location to provide level 1 support for hardware, business and desktop software, networks, servers and operating systems throughout our 3 plant network and Corporate Office. In this role, the Technical Support Specialist will work as part of a team to provide timely, multi-level support to our internal users through a variety of channels. This individual will install, modify, and make minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users. This role will also be able to expand their skillset by assisting with various IT projects as time and resources permit. Duties: Take internal support calls and resolve issues. Responds to inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. Document work and communication in our ITSM (Manage Engine). Provide updates, status, and completion information to help requestor, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication. Installs or assists employees in installation of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and hardware components. Installs specified software packages such as operating systems, office suites, and business specific programs. Replaces defective or inadequate software packages. Instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals ensuring technical problems are understood, documented and resolved while creating an outstanding customer experience. Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems. Partner with Tier Two IT support to implement corporate solutions locally and also partner to escalate site based issues. Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes, proactively. Collaborate with vendor support personnel, internal escalations and other technical teammates to resolve and prevent technical scenarios that negatively impact Bongard's IT environment. Assist in maintaining local phone system (Avaya) Assist in support of LAN/WAN systems. Maintain local inventory of computer, laptop, printer components, and printer/copier consumables. Resolve business application support calls. (E.g. ERP, CRM, TMS, etc.) Must be willing to travel and be on call. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or minimum of two-three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Database familiarity. Reporting writing (SQL). Experience with MS office products, MS active directory (AD), MS Operating Systems (Windows 7 to current) and Windows 10, mainstream internet browsers, laptops, hardware, laser printers. Preferred experience: ERP software (Ross), telephone system (Avaya), HP hardware, desktop and printers.
