Food distribution company seeking a HR Generalist to join their company in Perris, CA. You will be responsible for employee relations, benefits administration, employment/labor law, onboarding, recruitment, payroll, and other HR related duties as assigned. Looking for someone who is well rounded in HR who has supported multiple different functions. Plus if you are bilingual in Spanish. This is a temp opportunity to help support their HR department. You will be working M-F 8am-5pm with weekends off. This role is 100% onsite in Perris, CA paying between $28-$35/hr DOE. During your employment with Randstad you will be paid on a weekly basis!! Responsibilities
Prepares payroll data to include garnishments, vacation time, sick time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. Utilizes Paychex to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all state and federal wage and hour laws.
Reviews electronic time clock for completeness and accuracy
Prepares weekly payroll in a timely manner
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Collaborates with managers to assess employment needs, and participates in recruiting efforts to identify, interview, hire and train qualified candidates
Coordinate background checks and drug testing for new hire employee eligibility verifications
Oversees auditing processes in multiple departments to ensure policies and procedures are being followed
Prepares meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits
Reviews and responds to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation
Handles employee relations issues, appropriately referring them to senior management
Compiles data and prepares yearly submission of OSHA and worker's compensation reports for insurance purposes
Conducts stay-interviews in partnership with managers and exit interviewing
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
Conducts and/or coordinates various employee training programs
