About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our busy and friendly Perth Mechanical team. The role is suitable for an upcoming candidate ideally with 2 years Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design experience on building projects.
You'll be supported working on a wide range of projects and get opportunities to attend regular design and client facing meetings and industry events to expand your consulting skills.

We are currently working on a wide range of health care, commercial, retail, defence, industrial and educational building projects.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Produce HVAC designs in accordance with code and company quality standards
Develop HVAC Engineering, heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, coordination, and documentation
Provide clear direction to drafters and site contractors
Represent Stantec externally to Clients, managing these relationships and generate repeat business by providing a focus on client satisfaction.
Bring value to in-house design/project meetings
Provide positive contributions to our team culture
Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree
Ideally have 5 years mechanical (HVAC) consulting engineering experience in the Building Services industry
Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
Working knowledge of Revit and other software
Experience in planning and managing projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
A willingness to learn and adhere to Stantec’s professional & ethics standards and quality procedures
