Sanofi Group Key Account Manager - Private Hospital in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

About the job

Are you an experienced professional in key account management with a passion for driving sustainable sales growth and profitability? As a part of our Malaysia Key Account team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing strategies to achieve significant market share and portfolio profitability within key private hospital groups.

Main responsibilities:

Account Planning and Management:

  • Accountability for delivering the business objectives for the specific accounts and specific portfolio.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing the private hospital channel comprehensively, ensuring timely derivation and execution of strategies.

  • Lead and manage customer contract & KPIs. Hold customers accountable for commercial policies, trading terms, and performance KPIs, including contract negotiations and governance.

  • Forecasts the assigned accounts sales.

  • Evaluate periodically key account performance versus market and develop solution to address performance gaps for assigned accounts.

  • Develop, lead, and manage project and/or account related marketing activities in line with business units’ strategy. Ensure the profitability and sustainability of each account’s investment strategy aligned.

  • Manage supply and demand planning for each account, ensuring healthy inventory levels and sales performance.

  • Continuously identify customer insights to drive performance and business opportunities. Follow up on progress and outcome.

Build and Strengthen Customer Engagement

  • Proven experience in networking and building relationships with C-suite level officers within the private hospital channel, leveraging these relationships to drive business growth and strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure key accounts and stakeholders are engaged, educated, and informed to drive growth.

  • Work closely sales team at branch levels and buyer interactions to achieve business objective.

  • Business review should be updated on monthly basis with mutual quarterly reviews

  • Engage closely with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement commercial solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Collaborate effectively with enabling functions such as Legal, Compliance, and Ethics to develop patient-centric solutions that comply with regulations and ethical standards.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field with minimum 2-3 years' experience in sales or any customer-facing role in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering account and channel marketing strategies.

  • Familiarity with local market dynamics and key account management best practices.

  • Effective communication skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated planning ability and strong organizational and executional skills with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Creative problem solving and analytical thinking

  • Capacity to challenge the status quo to enhance business efficiency with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Proven ability to think strategically and good team player.

  • Strong analytical skills to track performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Experience in project management will be an advantage.
