Your day at NTT DATA

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.

Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, the Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is able to restore service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity and focusses across two or more technology domains - Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration etc.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the ICT Infrastructure Services (Local and Wide Area Network, wireless network, Data Center facilities, network security, telephony and video conferencing system) resources to ensure the business applications and data are secured, available and accessible anytime and anywhere to support business users and functions.

  • Implement systems capacity upgrades and fixes to ensure the services are running at the optimal level.

  • Attend to all reported issues escalated by the ICT Service Desk and outsource service provider to ensure incidents are resolved within Service Level Agreement (SLA) and take initiative and steps to prevent similar incidents.

  • Attend to all Infrastructure Services requests from users and ICT teams to ensure the requests are resolved and implemented in an efficient manner.

  • Maintain and support the IT Disaster Recovery (DR) simulations relating to the Infrastructure Services resources and continuously test the DR plan to ensure it meets the business operations and compliance requirements.

  • Identify and propose operational improvement initiatives by conducting research, assessment and testing of Infrastructure Services’ resources to ensure operational excellence.

  • Plans, directs, coordinates and monitor various technical and logistical activities in the project.

  • Coordinate or work with different parties such as vendors, peers and other departments or subsidiaries to ensure all objective and deliverable of the infrastructure project are met.

  • Provide periodic report of project progress to stakeholders and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and HSSE requirement.

  • Upon completion of the system initiative, prepare and conduct training to users in order to verify the projects benefits and realization.

  • Prepare/update technical knowledge base, design documentation, manual and procedures/guidelines to support operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Infrastructure Services deliverables/services.

  • Implement and enforce ICT policies and procedures relating to ICT Infrastructure services to ensure highly secured ICT Infrastructure and compliance to ICT security and operation standards

EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in supporting and maintaining Infrastructure services; Local and Wide Area Network, network security, Data Center facilities, cloud security and telephony & video conferencing system communication.

  • Hands-on experience in Cisco and Juniper networking.

  • Knowledge and awareness on Cybersecurity involving LAN, WLAN and WAN.

QUALIFICATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
