By understanding our audiences both internal and external, you’ll identify the best ways to promote our brand within the region, communicate business updates, upcoming events and share our community involvement including opportunities for employee participation. With a production workforce of circa 1000 you will play a key role in enhancing their communications whilst ensuring their voices are heard through regular feedback opportunities. You will report to the Local HR Manager as well as being part of a network of UK and Global communications professionals.

We’re looking for:

  • A motivated and creative individual to coordinate and deliver internal communications.

  • A skilled communications professional with a talent for shaping clear messages and writing compelling copy for diverse audiences across multiple platforms including, Yammer, SharePoint, Outlook, LinkedIn, Newsletter and notice board messaging.

  • Work in close collaboration with Global Internal communications team to deliver Global HR and operational communications campaigns and projects.

  • Manage weekly newsletter and reaching out for articles and updates from the business and employees.

  • A creative and engaging approach to coordinating and delivering communications events and continual improvement processes.

  • A strong track record of delivering engaging communications activity and campaigns, with the confidence and ability to provide strategic communications advice to others.

  • Communication support to employee resource groups and the D&I team in order to increase the knowledge and engagement of the workforce

Qualifications/Experience

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) plus desire for continuing professional development required to maintain skills.

  • Relevant administrative experience in a busy office environment.

  • Experience of providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues.

  • Experience of creating communications and engagement materials using a range of channels.

  • Experience of working on the front line with service delivery, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

  • Experienced service provider with knowledge and expertise used to contribute to the delivery and development of services, events and activities, and of implementing policies and procedures.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including motivational, negotiating, influencing and networking.

  • Strong digital competence with demonstrable skills in using core digital tools including internet, email, PowerPoint, Excel, digital communication tools and web and social media.
