Insight Global Business Development Specialist - Sales Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Business Development Specialist in the Philadelphia area (travel is regionally based in Philadelphia/Allentown area. Will be selling power monitoring equipment to commercial/industrial based customers. Need to have strong technical sales experience, preferably within industrial automation, electrical distribution, automation equipment etc. Will work with customers to support complex solutions, will work with internal team of solution architects, inside sales, quotation specialists etc. to deliver solutions. Will build relationships with clients to influence design of their electrical distribution system. Meet with end users, onsite doing site walks, developing relationships. Will sit remote, must be comfortable with 60-70% travel. (on the road but will be in the area driving distance).

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

3+ years of strong Sales/Business development experience related to power distribution or industrial automation (preferably power monitoring, switchgear, SCADA systems, HMI, PLC, electrical distribution, etc.)

Experience working with large commercial/industrial customers

Although not a people manager directly, have to lead a team effectively and influence

Strong communication skills and must be personable - ability to build relationships

Must be a self starter and have the ability to drive business. null
