University of Pennsylvania CE Faculty Position - Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Division in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of medical care for a diverse patient population with a broad range of advanced thoracic oncology, airway and pleural diseases in outpatient clinics and on-inpatient consultation services, as well as the medical intensive care unit. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonary through the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonary (AABIP).

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, medical residents, fellows and advanced practitioners within the Health System. Selected candidates will be expected to participate as an active member of Penn Graduate Programs based on his/her research role.

Clinical responsibilities may include proficiency in treating patients with thoracic oncology, complex airways and pleural disorders and in performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy and pleural disease procedures. Rounding on in-patient and consultative services and participating in a busy out-patient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as well as Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Preferred candidates would have an interest in thoracic oncology, lung cancer screening and biomarker assessment.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include expanding lung cancer screening and biomarker in lung cancer development.
