University of Pennsylvania Clinical Cardio-Oncologist - Academic Clinician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases.
Teaching responsibilities may include educating medical students, residents, cardiovascular fellows and advanced practice providers. Selected candidates will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the organization.
Clinical responsibilities may include attending on the inpatient and outpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and associated practice sites. As the Cardio-Oncology Program is a part of the Consultative (general) Cardiology Section, candidates should be prepared to provide services for general cardiology patients based on the needs of the division. Opportunities for non-invasive imaging will be considered on an individual basis taking into consideration applicant expertise and divisional priorities.
Selected candidates will be given ample mentorship to achieve clinical and clinical research productivity with a goal of attaining both national and international prominence in the field. Members of the Penn Cardio-Oncology program work collaboratively with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons in the NCI-designated Abramson Comprehensive Cancer Center to provide exceptional care for complex conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to the continued growth and clinical development of the division.
