Reference #: 23409880 Job Description: CT Technologist I Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing. Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation Operate CT equipment and select technical factors Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time. Document all related data. Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Other Responsibilities Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics. Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems. Resolve and escalate complex issues. Orient and train fellow staff technologists. Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations. Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays. Other shifts as assigned All other duties as assigned
Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program Required
Certification/Licenses: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). Required. Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience is required essential, pediatric experience required, EPIC experience required, and Siemens experience required Pediatric experience highly required Level 4 worker
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) Basic knowledge of radiology information systems Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills Excellent organizational skills
