Financial Planning Analyst II - 240670

Job Summary The Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) manages the administrative expense budget and P&L analysis for Independence Health Group. Our goal is to be a trusted partner to the business and an integral part of IHG's growth strategy with the ability to provide insight that impacts key business decisions.

Core Responsibilities include: * Consolidate expense narrative for monthly close process, including variance analysis, partnering with FP&A analysts to pull together the overall story for executive leadership.    * Drive monthly forecast and annual planning process from a consolidated perspective. * Provide accurate reporting and analysis of results, trends, and issues impacting the business by account, department, and business segment. * Engage matrix partners to understand financial and business performance * Improve reporting capabilities to drive transparency into expense drivers, emergent risks/opportunities and results * Manage development, enhancement and maintenance of analytical tools and indicators to provide accurate and timely financial results, key drivers and trends. * Act as liaison with finance, accounting and business to ensure reports produce accurate and timely results. * Communicate deadlines and deliverables to FP&A team to meet our timelines * Collaborate with subsidiaries financial support to ensure consistency in reporting, coordinating efforts to meet deadlines. Act as communication liaison with subsidiaries. * Coordinate with corporate accounting and FP&A planners as appropriate and required.

Qualifications * Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent work experience) * Strong communication (both written and verbal) and strong presentation skills are required. * 2 -- 4 years' experience or equivalent background * Demonstrated ability to interact with department management and the ability to work in an independent environment is essential. * Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented as well as above average problem solving/analytical skills required. * Stellar Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint and Word. PeopleSoft & Hyperion Essbase experience is a plus. * Understanding of budget/forecast principles. * Ability to manage competing priorities. * Demonstrated ability to work with business unit partners and corporate management.

Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
