NBCUniversal Local is NBCUniversal’s local media division that delivers English and Spanish-speakers and bilingual audiences in 31 U.S. markets and Puerto Rico, the very best in local sports, news, weather, consumer and investigative reporting, and lifestyle entertainment across any platform and screen. Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational aspects of over 300 live sporting events per year
Execute remote production needs such as scheduling crew, ordering onsite facilities, transmission and creating and distributing paperwork
Support the Live Events production team and onsite technical crew by serving as onsite Tech Manager when needed
Maintain inventory of Live Events related equipment
Help manage the Live Events budget, including monthly forecasting, payroll and invoice processing
Collaborate with other departments and personnel to execute various initiatives and improve production workflows
Support the integration of new technologies into the broadcast
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and team partners
Understand and proactively navigate the constantly evolving production landscape
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and/or equivalent experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in live event broadcasts
Solid base knowledge of remote, cloud based television production equipment and operations workflows
Technical understanding of a live event broadcast
Desired Characteristics:
Working knowledge of digital video and social media production a plus
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Highly motivated, organized, self-starter interested in and able to excel in rapidly evolving environment
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with high energy and a teamwork mentality
Hard work ethic, positive attitude, and strong organizational skills
Openness to evolution of workflow based on changing industry and company climates
