University of Pennsylvania Medical Director of Pulmonary Hypertension at HUP (Cardiologist) - Senior ranks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pulmonary vascular medicine. Substantial experience and/or advanced training in cardiology and pulmonary vascular disease is required. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include serving as Pulmonary Hypertension Fellowship Director, mentoring and training cardiology and pulmonary fellows as well as medical students and residents.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care of patients with pulmonary vascular disease and associated heart failure, right heart catheterizations, and cardiac imaging.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading or collaborating on NIH sponsored and/or industry sponsored clinical research. Scholarship is required on the clinician educator track.
There will be an expectation of the ability of the selected candidate to provide management and/or supervision.
