Ballard Spahr LLP Practice Management Administrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Ballard Spahr LLP has an exciting opportunity available for a Practice Management Administrator to join our Firm's practice management team. This position reports to the Chief Practice Management Officer and plays an integral part in the daily business operations of the Firm's legal departments and practice groups across 15 offices.

The chosen candidate will have an active role in the firm's daily business operations. Financial responsibilities include assembling and disseminating metrics to review productivity of lawyers and practice groups; assisting with the review of aged receivables and unbilled time and assisting with collections campaigns; assisting with the approval of non-billable expenses, professional licensing, industry membership, and continuing legal education requests; updating firm dashboards; and providing ad hoc financial analyses to department management as needed.

Personnel responsibilities include maintaining the intranet portals, including updating various meeting and office hour sessions; assisting with the coordination of training programs as needed; managing Workday approvals and troubleshooting issues with time entry; assisting with implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; and assisting with the maintenance of department policies and practice management documentation.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, problem solving skills, and the ability to multitask and work in a deadline driven environment. Professional demeanor, good judgment, understanding of the need to exercise confidentially and discretion required.

Bachelor's degree and relevant experience required; preferably in a law firm or professional services management environment. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the firm's computer applications, and have experience with technology and process management. Flexibility to work beyond a standard business day, on occasion as needed.
