A Brief Overview The principal investigator withinthe Craig Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine, PolicyLab,and theGender and Sexuality Development Programat theChildren's Hospital of Philadelphiais seeking a Research AssociateII to assist with a growing portfolio of research on improving health and well-being for transgender and non-binary children and adolescents. The research scientist will also support other related adolescent health equity research projects across Adolescent Medicine and PolicyLab.The Gender and Sexuality Development Programis a multidisciplinary program that has provided medical care and psychosocial support to nearly 5,000 transgender and non-binary children and adolescents ages 4-24 years old and their families.PolicyLabis a highly innovative, multidisciplinary center within the Research Institute at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia that focuses on improving public systems, improving health care delivery, and improving child health outcomes,and the center includes research portfolios on behavioral health, adolescent health, and health equity. A Research Associate II supports research and programs related to on-going hospital-and community-engaged research activities and programs. Under limited supervision, this individual will provide research support for multiple research projects involving adolescents and young adults. This position may assume supervisory responsibilities for junior research staff. The Research Associate must have prior experience and comfort working with multiple investigators and research teams simultaneously. This role oversees clinical research activities and related activity management.

What you will do Activity Management Oversee staff work and the coordination of projects. Manage participant flow, quality controls, eligibility assessments and reviews. Plan and direct activities, methods, and treatments. Collaborate internally to review, improve and promote processes and procedures. Manage related data collection, analysis, management and databases / system use. Ensure activity compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements. Activity Coordination and Support Coordinate compliance, documentation and submissions for regulatory agencies. Direct and maintain related documentation, records, and events. Assist with activities including assessments, enrollment and collection. Assist with researching to develop methodologies, instrumentation and procedures. Participate in department presentations and publications.

Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required Master's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications At least five (5) years of clinical research experience. Required At least seven (7) years clinical research experience Preferred

Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of medical terminology. Advanced knowledge of clinical research methods Advanced knowledge of international regulations regarding research including International Conference on Harmonisation's Good Clinical Practices (ICH / GCP) Advanced knowledge of international / government regulations regarding research Advanced knowledge of policies and procedures governing human subjects research. Advanced knowledge of HIPAA regulations Intermediate knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and policies. Intermediate knowledge of research design, data analysis and writing. Intermediate proficiency with electronic medical record software (EPIC) Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Intermediate proficiency with academic / reference management applications (EndNote, Mendeley) Intermediate proficiency with electronic data management systems (REDcap) Familiarity with imaging and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop) Familiarity with survey software (Qualtrics) Familiarity with online crowd sourcing marketplaces (MTurk) Familiarity with statistical software (SPSS/SAS) Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent critical thinking / problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Ability to gather, analyze and make recommendations/decisions based on data
