Duties: Draw on experience with Enzyme-linked Immunospot assay (ELISPOT), Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Good Lab Practice (GLP)/Good Clinical Practice (GCP), flow cytometry, instrument-specific software such as Immunospot, SoftMaxPro, and FlowJo, and scientific writing skills to perform regularly scheduled laboratory-based clinical immunoassays, flow cytometry analysis, and Meso-scale discovery (MSD) on clinical samples from subjects enrolled in clinical trials. Perform processing of whole blood samples to isolate and purify peripheral blood monocuclear cells (PBMCs) needed for immunoassays and immune monitoring. Establish the infrastructure in a newly-established lab space needed in order to meet the requirements of a regulatory-compliant lab environment. Perform data analysis using assay-specific instrumentation and proprietary software. Perform quality control on generated data and report data in the form of laboratory reports, and present data in internal meetings. Conduct assay development of clinical assays including the piloting, optimization, qualification, validation, execution and troubleshooting of new methods. Support an exploratory and research & development (R&D) level of workflow including sample preparation for the next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform. Perform technical writing tasks such as authoring standing operating procedures (SOP's) and method protocols and maintain a laboratory notebook.

 

Requirements: Master's degree in biological sciences or a related field plus three (3) years of experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related field plus five (5) years of experience. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
