We are seeking a dynamic, self-directed, adaptable, and detail-oriented Tax Operations Senior Manager ("TOSM"). The TOSM will work as part of the internal tax operations team to ensure exceptional service. This role is an integral part of our tax service line team to ensure ongoing projects are completed timely, efficiently, and that our colleagues are well served. This position reports to the Tax - COO, and will work with other tax leaders and tax colleagues.

Assists the Tax -COO with all tasks including reviewing and evaluating business procedures and implementing improvements to day-to-day operations, including automation where applicable.
Supports the Tax -COO in day-to-day coordination and management of business operational activities.
Collaborates with Tax -COO to execute departmental and organization-wide goals.
Work with local tax service line and niche leaders on economics of their offices/niches
Oversee monthly billing and collection initiatives, including direct conversations with partners/directors responsible for billing
Oversee profitability & realization initiatives, including direct conversations with partners/directors responsible for billing
Participate in and lead ad hoc special projects related to client economics including annual client continuance meetings
Supports the Tax Integration Lead and participates in the integration process for combination firms tax service line.
Supports other Tax Service Line leaders as needs are identified.
Executes and maintains clear and accurate operations documents and procedures for reference purposes.
Assists with creating presentation materials and content.
Coordinates with other support business functions such as human resources, finance, and administrative teams to ensure successful execution of tax service line operations.
Observes, reviews, and executes processes to provide recommendations on inefficiencies and areas where improvements can be made.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Assist with the overall operations of the department including project scheduling, resource planning, deadline management, and team support.
Other projects as assigned. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or related field required.
5+ years' experience within a tax operations or tax client services role
Experience within a public accounting firm Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (includin Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Ability to take direction from multiple sources, prioritize and reprioritize as necessary.
Ability to lead presentations to leaders at various levels.

For NYC and California, the expected salary range for this position is between120000 and200000 The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences.The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
