Job Description

Danfoss, a global market leader in Climate and Power Solutions, has an opening for a Distribution Focused Account Manager within our Danfoss Climate Solution Group.

The primary function of this role is to generate sales within the Distribution market segment. Through direct engagement with HVAC&R Distributors and Wholesalers, the candidate will develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and maximize sales to assigned accounts. This position requires travel throughout the defined region and will be based out of a home office.

We are looking for a remote employee located in the Western United States region.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Seek opportunities to increase penetration at existing Distribution accounts while identifying prospects for new opportunities.

  • Formulate an action plan to grow profitable sales across all Climate Solutions portfolios.

  • Develop a network of manufacturers reps to increase sales coverage to the distributors in the sales area

  • Work to strengthen the Danfoss-Customer relationship

  • Provide sales and preliminary technical support to defined accounts within the sales region.

  • Improve Danfoss brand and product awareness within the region through engagement with HVACR Installers and contractors

Basic Minimum Skills Required

  • 5+ years of industry related experience in technical sales position

  • Bachelor’s degree or Vocational/Technical school degree with equivalent HVACR technical background

  • Stable job history that demonstrates a solid track record of performance.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to connect with management, technical and non-technical people

  • Polished, confident presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, etc..

  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and an enthusiastic problem solver with ability to work independently

  • Travel – 30% within sales region
