Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Phoenix, Arizona
Description Robert Half has an outstanding opportunity for a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a premier company. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary position.
Your responsibilities
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Help with internal and external audits as required
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Execute full-cycle A/P
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis Requirements - Great attention to detail
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
