Description
We are a reputable construction company in Phoenix, AZ, seeking an immediately available Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have experience using Great Plains and a background in accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently in Great Plains
Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness
Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain vendor relationships and address inquiries
Assist with month-end closing procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Prepare and analyze AP reports as needed
Collaborate with other departments on financial matters related to construction projects
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounts payable experience in the construction industry
Proficiency in Great Plains or similar ERP software
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
This is an immediately hiring contract-to-hire position located in Phoenix, AZ. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a vital role in our construction finance team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments. The role is fully in-office.
