Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is within the manufacturing industry and will involve managing accounts payable functions, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth financial operations for our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process and enter invoices with precision and timeliness.
• Manage the approval process for all invoices, ensuring prompt payment.
• Liaise with various departments and vendors to resolve any invoice-related queries.
• Apply analytical skills to identify the root cause of any discrepancies and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Manage time effectively and adhere strictly to deadlines, displaying the ability to work under pressure.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Use accounting software systems, including 'Great Plains (GPAC)', 'IBM AS/400', 'JD Edwards EnterpriseOne', to manage accounts payable functions.
• Handle check processing and data entry tasks with accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions and discrepancy management. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to handle Check Processing
• Excellent Data Entry skills
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
