PDS Tech is currently recruiting for an Electrical Test Technician in Phoenix, AZ!

Job Type: Full time; Contract (12 months)

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Pay Rate: $34.30 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time consultant position for 12 months, with the potential for a shift change based on business requirements. As a Electrical Test Technician, you will support mid-level complexity testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), assemblies, or subassemblies. Proficiency in soldering and de-soldering both through-hole and surface-mounted components is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.

  • Perform functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedures.

  • Monitor tests through completion, record test data, and service test equipment as required.

  • Document acceptance or failure results.

  • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment, and mechanical measuring devices.

  • Perform proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds.

  • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems and participate in continuous improvement efforts (CORE).

  • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by the team.

  • Acquire applicable skills/knowledge/certification as required.

  • Comply with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.

  • Follow plans for production schedules and quality requirements.

  • Understand the end use of manufactured products.

  • Proficiently use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.

  • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.

  • Train others for technical tasks as needed.

  • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to business issues.

  • Participate in waste minimization efforts.

  • Participate in audits.

  • Request tools and supplies in accordance with project requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree

Additional Comments:

  • Potential to move to the first shift based on business requirements.

  • This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills to board or component level and the ability to repair effectively.

  • The candidate should possess strong documentation skills and the ability to monitor and record test data accurately.

  • Initiative and the ability to train others on technical tasks are essential.

  • Must be compliant with safety standards and quality systems.

Pay Details: $34.30 per hour
