Charles Schwab Manager, Network Engineering in Phoenix, Arizona

Duties : Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Track Jira workflow tool to access requests submitted, perform lead role to analyze the requirements in terms of feasibility of network load balancing and DNS. Consult with customer/client for best possible scenario to deploy applications. Build scripts and Implementation of required changes following change management process. Handle load balancing system OS/Hot fix upgrades. Provide on call support to troubleshoot any ongoing issues in load balancing environment. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility. Reports to company office in Phoenix, AZ.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $ 148,637 to $258,100 per year
What you have
Job Requirements : Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field and of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience (6 years w/ Bachelor’s degree or 4 years w/ Master’s degree), which include some experience in each of the following skills: BASH, TMSH, IMISH, and iControl; BigIP DNS integrations with BigIP Local Traffic Manager and internet-facing BigIP DNS sync-groups; Network troubleshooting, including packet capture, wireshark-based packet analysis, and dynamic routing updates; Implementing and maintaining BGP and OSPF Dynamic Routing Protocols; Implementing anycast VIP solutions based on aforementioned dynamic routing protocols; DNS at a functional level, including NS records and effective domain delegation; and AS3 and its implementation in a brownfield environment.
