Overview

The Customer Service On-Site Rep (VMI) - Vendor Managed Inventory provides customer service on-site at customer locations. This position provides on-site service in responding to customer inquiries, requests for assistance, coordinating receiving and stocking shipments of ordered products in designated supply areas and performing inventory of supply area.

This position will also operate with minimal supervision at these on-site locations, representing ODP Business Solutions products and services. Ongoing attention to customer needs directly impacts sales from that customer, along with supporting a positive relationship and positive ODP Business Solutions image with the customer and its employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Receive shipments of ordered products, validate and stock designated supply areas at that location.

  • Coordinate with the appropriate Sales Representative, DC and Customer Service Centers to research and resolve order discrepancies.

  • May complete desktop deliveries on some accounts.

  • Perform inventory count of designated supply areas at the customer location, notifying appropriate parties when there are discrepancies or low product count.

Customer Service:

  • Provide on-site customer service at customer locations, functioning as the primary representative for ODP Business Solutions products and services.

  • Interact daily with all levels of customer employees, with continual attention to customer service.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred

  • No previous experience required, Customer Service experience is preferred

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
