Robert Half Senior Estate Planning / Tax Paralegal in Phoenix, Arizona
Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Paralegal to join our law firm client's team. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and it involves the preparation of various tax returns, maintenance of financial records, and the provision of family office services for high net worth clients. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of estate tax, trusts and estates, trust accounting, and probate administration.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare Estate Tax Returns and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns.
• Maintain and audit financial records of trusts.
• Handle trust accounting and the reconciliation of broker statements.
• Manage General Ledger (G/L) accounts and prepare payables and bank deposits.
• Obtain and reconcile 1099 and K-1 statements.
• Handle probate administration, including the drafting of probate pleadings.
• Manage irrevocable trust funding and administration post-death.
• Maintain close contact with clients and financial advisors.
• Develop technical proficiency in database use and management, internet/electronic research, and project folder/electronic file maintenance.
• Comply with firm policies while maintaining high-quality work and attention to detail.
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Paralegal role, preferably in Trusts and Estates
• Demonstrable expertise in Estate Tax law and procedures
• Proven experience in Trusts and Estates management
• Proficient in Trust accounting and Fiduciary Income Tax Return preparation
• Skilled in Ledger Reconciliations
• Experience in Probate & Estate Administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or related field is preferred
• Paralegal certification from an accredited program is advantageous
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
