Wells Fargo Senior Lead Analytics Consultant in PHOENIX, Arizona

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant in Business Deposits Analytics as part of Consumer Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Your focus will be business products and customers.

The Deposit Analytics team provides strategic analysis for Deposits product development, marketing and finance through the use of financial/statistical models, reporting, and in-depth research to help drive business decisions.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing insights to product management on a wide range of product and portfolio questions, risk management support and general strategic insights into the Small and Business Banking deposits portfolio

  • Most projects start with data on Teradata, Oracle and other database platforms with further analysis using Excel / ThinkCell, BI tools like Tableau

  • Supporting the Finance team and its needs for reporting and forecasting data sources uniquely available from company datamarts

  • Strategic analysis to understand how money is moving into and out of the retail bank's deposit portfolio

  • Business and profitability cases/models for new products in conjunction with business partners

  • As necessary, research and identify new data sources to assist in answering questions and improve institutional knowledge of existing data so it can be utilized more effectively

  • May assist in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization

  • Research and test new data tools to improve the efficiency of new and existing processes and reporting

  • Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ Years of SQL, Teradata SQL, or similar query language experience

  • Demonstrably strong understanding of financial reporting systems and corporate financial modeling (such as Essbase) as well as a good audit mindset and intuition

  • Previous experience with data visualization tools especially Tableau

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills used to create custom forecast tools, simulators and other unique analyses

  • Experience with cost accounting, allocation and internal transfer pricing in the context of understanding business line profitability

  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

  • Banking/Financial Services industry experience is a plus but other industries with high volumes of customers, transactions and data would also be relevant

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
