Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Role and Responsibility: Drive delivery of engineering solutions for the GCP Cloud including analysis, design, development configuration, capacity planning and performance tuning. Manage the Cloud Infrastructure using the Infra-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform with Github integrations. Actively participate in cloud migration efforts for both Teradata & BigData by closely collaborating with data engineering teams to support development and testing the data ingestion from Hive/Teradata to BigQuery using Data movement frameworks & ETL processing using BI tools & Dataproc. Identify and initiate service availability/performance improvement efforts. Contribute towards the architecture and system design of the Cloud (GCP/Azure) projects involving growing business demands and requirements. Plan, implement software and hardware upgrades for both on-prem & cloud (GCP/Azure) platforms including BigData as required. Recommend, implement industry best standards and practices for cloud solutions including Object storage - Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, Composer, Airflow, Google Kubernetes Enging (GKE), Dataproc, Vertex AI, Notebooks etc. Research, recommend automation solutions considering code re-usability, maintenance, and optimization for the Infrastructure code (Terraform). Provide technical direction to peers, subordinates by developing highly complex support and remediation strategies. Perform analysis, testing, test data preparation and other pre-release engineering activities. Oversee entire systems testing and migration of applications to the platform. Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met or exceeded for all developed engineering solutions. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

Travel required: 10% domestic travel required.

Required Qualifications : Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related technical field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.

Specific skills required:

• 3 years of experience with Linux;

• 3 years of experience with SQL;

• 2 years of experience with Hadoop, Hbase, Autosys, Hue, Oozie and Boks;

• Experience with Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines;

• Experience with Cloud Services such as AWS or Azure, Terraform (IaC), Airflow, GKE, Dataproc; and

• Experience with BigQuery, Dataproc, Hashicorp, or Vault mechanism.
