Job Description We are seeking entry-level software engineers (IC1) who are eager to learn and contribute to building robust cloud applications. This is a unique opportunity to join a team focused on developing new cloud-centric applications from scratch. You will work alongside a diverse and talented group of engineers who are passionate about solving complex problems related to software development, distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience.
As an IC1 engineer, you will have the chance to grow your skills by participating in the design, development, and maintenance of critical components. You will gain exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle and work closely with senior engineers and mentors.
Who We Are Looking For We are looking for motivated individuals who are enthusiastic about technology and have a strong foundation in software engineering principles. While experience in public cloud services or distributed systems is a plus, we are primarily interested in candidates who are ready to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development, and testing of software components.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and contribute ideas.
Debug and troubleshoot software issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
Write clear and concise technical documentation.
Gain familiarity with cloud technologies and tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
1+ years of experience in software development (internships and project work included).
Proficiency in a modern programming language, such as Java or C++.
Understanding of object-oriented design principles.
Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP).
Willingness to learn Linux and other relevant technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to developing or working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Interest in learning about security best practices and compliance requirements.
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $84,000 to $134,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
