Location: Remote/Hybrid (4 days at home, 1 day in office - Thursday)

Overview: A fast growing education company is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant with strong General Ledger (GL) experience to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily remote, with Thursdays as the designated in-office day. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable with a fast-paced, short hard close period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reconciliation of cash.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) tasks from day one, contributing to the overall AP process.
• Conduct account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.
• Manage debits and credits effectively.
• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring a 6-day hard close period is met.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, leveraging strong communication skills to ensure smooth remote operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years of GL accounting experience.
• Proficiency in debits/credits, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Comfortable with a 6-day hard close period.
• Strong communication skills, essential for remote work.
• Demonstrated job stability and continuity; minimal job hopping.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
