ABOUT THE JOB:
This role is responsible for SAP Solution development using SAP ABAP to support SAP SD, FICO, MM and PM business processes. In addition, the position will be responsible for supporting and developing PI/PO solutions for interfacing with SAP and/or third-party systems. The role will be responsible for writing technical specifications.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Design, Develop, Implement and Maintain technical solutions, specifications, and documentation for various sized projects or daily support initiatives.
Work on approved scope and drive effective solutions and services
Understand business requirements and how they translate to new application features
Collaborate with functional team members and other staff to set specifications for new applications or functionality
Write high-quality code to program complete applications on time and within budget
Perform unit testing and QA testing before promoting to Production
Troubleshoot and debug applications
Troubleshoot existing PI interfaces to determine technical issues
Evaluate existing applications to improve performance, update and add new features
Develop technical documents to accurately represent application design and code
Follow good development practices and SDLC methodologies throughout product development
Maintain IT Systems to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Post Graduate Degree in Computer Sciences and/or Applications is required
Understanding of the equipment and office-space rental industry will be critical and is required
Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, is required
Experience and understanding of SAP SD, FICO, MM and PM business processes & functionality
The role requires a solid understanding of SAP custom enhancement options, ability to work independently and have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of programming experience in ABAP with Hands-on experience in designing and developing interfaces using ALE / IDoc, RFC, BAPI, ABAP Proxies, User Exits, BADi, Flat File technologies, ALV and Smartforms is required.
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands on experience with PI/PO and configuring REST, SOAP, RFC, IDOC and SFTP channels
Application development: 10 to 15 years
Programming in ABAP: 10 to 15 years
Strong Understanding of SDLC, architecture and project management: 5 years
Experience working with S/4 HANA or native HANA is a plus
Experience in WebDynpro development is a plus
Experience in UI5 development is a plus
Experience with Other non-SAP technologies is a plus
