Avera St. Mary’s is currently seeking a Flex Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
Staff is required to perform their duties effectively.
Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera’s Mission and Avera’s Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor’s Degree at minimum.
3-5 years experience is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.
ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.
Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.R.
PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.
Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.
Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.
Work Schedule
- Rotating day/night shifts; Per Diem
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience
- $50.00 flat rate
