First Health of the Carolinas Billing Coordinator in Pinehurst, North Carolina
The Physician Billing coordinator position is responsible for the following: editing/billing physician and clinic claims to payers for charges incurred at FirstHealth clinics, following up with payers regarding non-payment, denial and/or underpayment, refunding overpayments to payers, ensuring that billing is compliant and accurate, managing clinic accounts receivables to ensure that we bill within payer timely-filing limits and adding documentation to accounts to reflect communication with payers. Education: High school graduate. Technical College or certification preferred. Five years medical billing experience is preferred . Additional skills: Experience with practice management systems; office automation skills; extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and insurance reimbursement; strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; good organizational skills. Has extensive experience communicating with patients regarding collection of patient balances and explaining balance details.
