Description
General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include setting up and starting mold machines while verifying the set up is done correctly to written work standards. You will troubleshoot equipment when necessary and make adjustments accordingly.
Examples of Typical Job Activities
- Set up and start up mold equipment
- Document and make tooling and equipment adjustments
- Troubleshoot machine equipment and tooling issues during production
- Tooling review: pins, bushing and threaded holes
- Press & drum health; general mold condition
- Platen condition and alignment of mold halves
- Inspect items to ensure a consistent level of quality
- Work with vendors
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; preferred 3-5 years mold and die tooling experience
*Required Technical Skills *
1) Read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions
2) Use and understand inspection equipment
3) Read and understand prints
4) PLC understanding
5) Hoist and tow motor skills
6) Understand and operate press molding equipment.
7) Using hand tools to trim, sand, or grind components.
8) Accurately complete paperwork and system transactions to ensure component traceability
