THE RUNDOWN:
The Clinical Onboarding Specialist Coordinator is a registered nurse who influences professional role competence and professional growth of learners in a variety of settings. The Clinical Onboarding Specialist Coordinator supports learners in inter-professional practice and learning environments to facilitate continuous development and learning for the healthcare team. Responsibilities of the Clinical Onboarding Specialist Coordinator include oversight and implementation of onboarding/orientation program; competency management; education; role development; and quality improvement. This position is part of the clinical team.
Requirements

- Onboarding and Orientation: Develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Competency Management: Develops, assesses, measures, and documents competency in essential job functions for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Education: Coordinates educational initiatives to address practice gaps, new workflows and evaluates the progress towards achievement of outcomes. Demonstrates flexible teaching techniques to accommodate individual learning styles.
- Role Development: Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing and professional development and provides leadership in the professional practice setting while assisting and mentoring others in their professional role development, practice role transitions and succession planning.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborates with inter-professional teams to support the provision of high-quality patient care by ensuring the clinical competence of the healthcare team while considering factors that relate to quality outcomes.
- The Clinical Onboarding Specialist Coordinator will work with the Vice President of Nursing and the Nursing Directors to assess the needs of the clinical team regarding orientation and ongoing education and develop the programs using the PDSA cycle.
- Performs all duties, services and documentation in full compliance with CHC/SEK policies and procedures.
