DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform administrative contract and grant management functions by coordinating the development, preparation, assembly, distribution, receipt, processing, status, and control of contracts and grant agreements funded by a wide variety of public and private revenue sources.  Some of these sources include the federal government, state government, and private foundations, such as contracts and grants for treatment services which are program funded, fee-for-service, private licensed facilities (PLF's), consultants, and ambulance services in excess of seven hundred (700) contracts and grant agreements and four hundred (400) modifications processed annually.

Within this role, you will review and interpret boilerplate contracts, state and federal grants, and pertinent laws and regulations which impact upon the department, referring all proposed changes to the Contracts Manager for advice, interpretation, and direction.  You will also gather information from DHS staff to be incorporated into the basic master contract and/or contracts specifications manuals for the ensuing fiscal year.  This position is responsible for preparing requests for executive action for contract amendment, and preparing and processing all amendments, including changes in amount, changes in service, or changes in time.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours/week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
