Job Summary

The Associate Billing Specialist has the primary responsibility for accurate invoice  coordination and submissions.

Essential Functions Submits electronic invoice batches to various clearinghouse entities. Prints and submits invoices via mail. Obtain necessary documentation (medical order, clinical notes, patient agreement, etc.)  to determine medical criteria eligibility, and submit to insurance carrier for coverage  determination. Reviews and enters invoice information into various online insurance portals. Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Operates office machines such as printers, copiers and mail stuffing machine. Records daily volume of incoming and outgoing invoice information. Responsible for reviewing and processing End of Use accounts. Responsible for quality checks on daily invoice reports to prevent incorrect  invoice submission. Responsible for sending emails, photocopying, scanning and faxing. Responsible for adhering to all company processes and procedures as identified in  employee handbook. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
