Business Development Analyst

 

The Business Development Analyst is an active member of the LifeX Due Diligence Investment Team for all diligence activities surrounding investment opportunities within the LifeX Global organization and all external opportunities seeking funding and/or LifeX Commercialization support. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist in the management of the due diligence process while providing a detailed packet to the investment committee for review.
  • Participate in the development of new business, specifically, assisting the executive staff in identifying new funding opportunities, new portfolio investments, and the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets.
  • Assist Select outside entities with due diligence as deemed necessary.
  • Actively seek potential opportunities for inclusion into the LifeX Global organization as new investment opportunities as well as candidates for the LifeX Accelerator and Commercialization programs.
  • Work closely with all entities of the LifeX Global organization to ensure funding opportunities are available across the commercialization continuum.
  • Participate in LifeX Accelerator and LifeX Portfolio Meetings, as required.
  • Point of contact for investor relationships internally and externally. Work closely with the LifeX executive management team on strategic planning and analysis to grow the companies via investment vehicles.
  • Responsible for a wide range of activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results, making forecasts and projections, making recommendations, and generating Excel models, presentations, and reports.

Job Summary

Responsibilities involve all aspects of pipeline development and capital raising transaction execution, including sourcing & origination, pitch deck & marketing review, industry research, and other responsibilities across the entire transaction process. The Business Development Analyst will help spearhead client origination and support the LifeX Global entities specifically as a representation on the due diligence team in communication with Founders, CEOs, Directors & VPs on business development calls and pitches. The analyst will work closely with outside capital groups such as venture firms, foundations, family offices, and angel groups acting as a liaison for LifeX Global and its entities.

Job is mostly sedentary but may require travel to meetings on and off campus.
