GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for managing the coordination of student clinical placement, compliance, and partnership relationships at the AHN Schools of Nursing. The clinical education coordinator works collaboratively with the AHN SON administration, faculty and clinical partners, preceptors, and the Simulation Teaching and Academic Research (STAR) center to to ensure quality experiences for student learning. This position also is responsible for providing classroom and clinical instruction and evaluation of students

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and delivers classroom instruction and clinical supervision, ensuring alignment between theory and practice, evaluates student performance, and actively participates in faculty governance and program improvement initiatives.

  • Arrange and communicate with faculty and clinical partners to coordinate and schedule clinical opportunities for all clinical areas

  • Supports the Schools of Nursing to manage clearance for clinical placement using databases to evaluate student readiness for clinical such as background checks, CPR, immunization, etc…

  • Collaborates with the Simulation Teaching and Academic Research (STAR) Center to coordinate simulation experiences

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Q UALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Master's in Nursing

  • 3 years in Nursing Education

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Pennsylvania Board of Nursing

  • CPR - American Heart Association
