Salary $48,000 year

 

Supervise and support the overall process of enrollment, outreach, orientation, and intake for both basic and individualized career services. Provide leadership and support to a team of direct service professionals, including Business Services Representatives and Workforce Development Specialists.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and facilitate jobseeker services to include formal assessments, employability skills workshops, training opportunities, community resources, and employment needs
  • Provide individualized assessment of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities
  • Assess a participant's barriers, work history, career and education needs; develop an Individual Employment Plan for each client
  • Facilitate staff development and training to team to counsel, motivate, and encourage jobseekers in advancing employment and training and retention goals, and provide support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement
  • Monitor case management of participant progress in achievement of employment and training goals, including tracking of data and file review
  • Establish professional working relationships with community partners
  • Coordinate intake, eligibility, assessment, and orientation processes for basic and programmatic services
  • Coordinate and refer jobseeker to employment and training services available in partnership with Business Services Representatives, training institutions, employers, and other community resources
  • Consult with Business Services Representatives and Workforce Development Specialists to coordinate and develop job leads that align with the needs of jobseekers
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all contacts in the state's system of record per contact requirements
  • Meet with clients individually and in groups to discuss placement planning, options, and process.

``` - Prepare statistical monitoring and other reports pertaining to center operations as required - Ensure program operations comply with federal, state and local regulations and benchmarks

``` - Support daily operations of center and provides coverage as needed - Facilitate regular communication between center and program staff to ensure timely transfer of information

Qualifications

  • Three to four years of professional experience in career counseling, case management, or a related customer service management capacity
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a diverse environment supporting individuals with a variety of needs
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and great documentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Social Work preferred
