DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Field Auditor 3 position, you will assist the Compliance Manager in developing fiscal compliance work programs to review provider compliance with county and state financial requirements. This includes assisting Compliance Officers in conducting on-site monitoring reviews, resolving complications that arise during site visits, reviewing and monitoring for misuse of funds, and ensuring that work papers comply with industry standards.

You will also monitor training and qualifications for Compliance Officers by ensuring that they receive training on various compliance procedures, as well as all relevant DHS, county, state, and federal regulations and policies. Continuous training is essential to keep our team's work within acceptable bureau standards and time frames and up to date on new regulations.

Other duties include supervising accurate and complete certified audit review from training Compliance Officers on specifics for certified audits submitted by provider agencies to reviewing their certified audit reconciliations for regulatory requirements, completed department worksheets, and accuracy. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Scheduled hours can vary depending on the needs of the regional office. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Field Auditor II; Four years of experience in progressively responsible auditing or accounting work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience; and graduation from high school, supplemented by six credit hours of post high school courses in accounting. Additional training in accounting, business administration or a related field including six credit hours in accounting may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience; or Three years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and one and one-half years of college level work, including or supplemented by six credit hours in accounting; or Two years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
