Local Pittsburgh Heating and Air Conditioning company is looking for an energetic, dependable and detail-oriented HVAC Service Technician to join our team to maintain and repair all major brands of HVAC equipment. Along with routine maintenance and repair, the candidate will advise our customer to select the most appropriate systems when needing to upgrade their HVAC equipment. The service technician will be responsible for warranty and emergency repairs during after-hours when scheduled. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate & maintain company vehicle while following all traffic laws
• The proper installation, maintenance and repair of heating and air conditioning systems
• Identifying future risks with current equipment and communicate to customer their best options
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults of HVAC systems
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems to include performing warranty services
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Maintain company tools, uniforms and computer equipment

Skills

• Reliable and self-motivated with good communication skills
• Prior experience in repair, installation and maintenance of all types of HVAC systems including boilers
• Quick and accurate troubleshooting skills important
• Knowledge of Computer programs and mobile tablets
• Proficient with all trade and job specific tools

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a HVAC training program at a vocational school, college or apprenticeship
• Environmental Protection Agency certification to handle refrigerants
• Occupational Safety & Health Administration Safety Certificate
• Valid PA driver's license & clean driving record
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
