A postdoctoral position is available for a highly qualified and motivated candidate in the laboratory of Dr. Benjamin Nacev at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
The scientific goal of the Nacev Lab is to understand how cancer-associated genetic alterations in chromatin regulators promote cancer and to leverage this understanding to advance new therapeutic approaches.

Job requirements and specifics: We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven researcher with a robust background in epigenetics. The ideal candidate will have a publication record that highlights their expertise and contributions to the field. This role is designed for someone who is no more than three years from the awarding of their doctoral degree and who demonstrates an insatiable thirst for scientific knowledge and discovery. The successful applicant will have hands-on experience with cutting-edge epigenomic techniques such as ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN, ChIP-seq, or Hi-C and a deep understanding of epigenetic mechanisms and their implications in biological processes. We seek individuals who have a proven track record of taking initiative in pursuing new and independent ideas, adopting and optimizing emerging techniques, and thriving in a collaborative team environment.
