The Department of Immunology is looking to hire a Postdoctoral Associate Employee in the laboratory of Dr. Mark Shlomchik. This Candidate will perform research that will focus on the origins and functions of memory B cells. In particular this candidate will focus on Aim 3 of my recent NIH grant on the subject, related to the consequences of repeated stimulation of memory B cells. However, this candidate's work may also encompass other related areas of memory B cell and germinal center B cell biology. This candidate will interact actively with co-workers in the lab, and present their research findings in lab meetings, small group meetings, at internal Research In Progress (RIPs), as well as (as appropriate) national and international meetings. This candidate will help in preparing manuscripts for publication as well as in preparing grants to support their research, including their own fellowship grants, along with any other reasonable assignments that I, as the Principal Investigator, may request.
Qualifications: Candidate must have earned a PhD/MD Degree in the field of Biology or related field.
